Traditional Italian in the heart of Elwood doesn’t get much better than Figo. If you love Italian food and pizza as much as I do, Figo has got all bases covered.
We started off our dinner at Figo with the most deliciously fresh burrata cheese, and freshly sliced prosciutto. Another delicious starter at Figo are the mushroom arancini.
They don’t like to waste anything at Figo, so make sure you order a side of the pizza fritti, deep fried pizza dough pieces, absolutely delicious.
The pizzas at Figo are a no brainer, and I was lucky enough to try the prosciutto pizza. Topped with San Marzano tomato, mascarpone cheese, prosciutto and rocket. The creaminess of the mascarpone on the pizza was delicious and something I had never tried before. And once again the freshly sliced prosciutto on the top was to die for, just melt in the mouth.
As for drinks here at Figo you cant go past an Aperol spritz.
